MDCN Inducts 89 AAU Medical Graduates

The Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) has inducted 89 medical graduates of Ambrose Alli University Ekpoma into the medical profession. The ceremony, which was well-attended, marked the new Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Eunice Eboserehimen Omonzejie’s first public function.
Prof. Omonzejie expressed gratitude to Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, for his commitment to transforming the university. "We at Ambrose Alli University Ekpoma will ever remain grateful to the Governor for the attention given to our medical school and the University since his assumption of office," she said.

The Vice-Chancellor also admonished the new doctors to approach their career with dignity and showcase the high-quality training they received.
In his welcome address, the Provost of the College of Medicine, Prof. Sunday Olowo Samuel, charged the new doctors to uphold medical ethics, provide quality care, and continuously update their skills to address emerging healthcare challenges. He also urged them to make a positive impact, demonstrate empathy and compassion, and collaborate effectively with healthcare teams.
The Honourable Commissioner of Health, Dr. Cyril Oshiomhole, the Chief Medical Director of Irrua Specialist Teaching Hospital, and other dignitaries in their goodwill messages, enjoined the fresh medical doctors to show compassion and capacity in the discharge of their duties.
The highlight of the ceremony was the administration of the Hippocratic Oath to the 89 medical graduates by the Registrar of the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN), Prof. Fatima Kyari, who was represented by Dr. Tijani Mandaka. Awards were also presented to the best graduating medical doctors.
The induction ceremony marked a significant milestone in the lives of the 89 medical graduates of Ambrose Alli University Ekpoma, as they embark on their journey to become dedicated healthcare professionals. With the charge to uphold medical ethics, provide quality care, and demonstrate compassion, the new doctors are poised to make a positive impact in the healthcare sector.
