The newly appointed Substantive Vice-Chancellor of Ambrose Alli University Ekpoma, Prof. Mrs Eunice Omonzejie, has assured the university community of her administration's commitment to taking the institution to greater heights.
While formally receiving the hand-over note from the immediate past Acting Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Sunday Olowo Samuel, Prof. Omonzejie expressed her gratitude for Prof. Samuel's service to the university and humanity.
She stated, "I want to thank you, sir, for your dedication to the university. Your hand-over note will provide valuable guidance as we drive towards excellence."
Prof. Omonzejie also sought Prof. Samuel's availability for consultation, saying, "We intend to work with you and other members of staff to grow the institution to our desired status."
During the handing-over ceremony, Professor Sunday Olowo Samuel, the immediate past Acting Vice-Chancellor expressed gratitude to the Visitor, His Excellency Senator Monday Okpebholo, for the opportunity to serve.
Prof. Olowo Samuel thanked God for making his tenure as Acting Vice-Chancellor possible and appreciated the support he received from the Pro-Chancellor, Chief Dan Osi Orbih, and the Governing Council.
He also acknowledged the staff and students, saying, "The memories of our working relationship will never be forgotten." Prof. Olowo Samuel urged everyone to support the new Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Mrs Eunice Omonzejie, in her quest to take the university to greater heights, calling on all to work together to achieve global relevance.
The Vice-Chancellor of Ambrose Alli University Ekpoma, Prof. Mrs Eunice Omonzejie, has embarked on an on-the-spot assessment of the university's hostel infrastructure to ensure they are conducive and habitable for students. Accompanied by key officials, including the Deputy Vice-Chancellors, the University Public Relations Officer, PAR VC's office and Student Union leaders, Prof. Omonzejie expressed shock at the level of dilapidation of most hostels.
