Ondo State Governor, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has formally launched the All Progressives Congress (APC) electronic membership registration exercise, emphasizing its critical role in the party's growth, credibility, and future planning.
Speaking at the APC e-registration training exercise in Akure, Aiyedatiwa stressed that the process aligns with President Bola Tinubu's vision and is crucial for the party's leader. "This exercise is very, very important for our party, not just our party, but the leader of our party, the President of Nigeria," he said.
The Governor urged party members to participate actively, focusing on influence and encouragement rather than coercion. He highlighted the exercise's benefits, including equalization and a credible database for effective planning.
Aiyedatiwa emphasized the importance of diligence, noting that the registration would close on January 31, giving party officials about 33-34 days to register members.
National Vice Chairman of APC South-West, Hon. Isaac Kekemeke, stated that the exercise would strengthen the party's structure, democracy, and credibility. He outlined objectives, including building a verifiable membership database and enabling financial membership.
In his opening remarks, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Legislative Matters and Party Affairs, Hon. Babatunde Kolawole, commended Aiyedatiwa's leadership in driving the exercise, aimed at creating a credible, technology-driven database.

Deputy Governor, Dr. Olayide Adelami, the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Taiwo Fasoranti, the Chief of Staff, Prince Segun Omojuwa, Members of the State Executive Council, among others.
