The Vice-Chancellor of Ambrose Alli University (AAU), Ekpoma, Professor Mrs. Eunice Omonzejie, has extended warm felicitations to members of staff of the institution on the occasion of the 2026 Workers’ Day, commending their resilience and dedication to duty.
In a statement issued on Friday by the Principal Assistant Registrar and Head of Information, Protocol and Public Relations, Otunba Mike Aladenika, the Vice-Chancellor described the University workforce as the driving force behind the institution’s continued operation and progress, despite prevailing challenges.
She acknowledged the commitment, professionalism, and sacrifices of both academic and non-academic staff, noting that their contributions remain critical to the attainment of the University’s goals. According to her, the administration deeply appreciates the role of staff in sustaining the institution’s academic and administrative standards.
Professor Omonzejie further reassured workers that the University Management is taking deliberate steps to address welfare concerns and improve working conditions. She disclosed that engagements with relevant stakeholders are ongoing, with a view to strengthening institutional stability and ensuring a more supportive and transparent work environment.
The Vice-Chancellor also called for unity, cooperation, and a renewed sense of purpose among staff, emphasizing that collective effort is essential for overcoming current challenges and repositioning the University for sustainable growth.
She, however, urged staff to remain steadfast and committed to excellence, assuring them of Management’s continuous support and dedication to building a stronger and more resilient Ambrose Alli University.
