Staff of Ambrose Alli University (AAU), Ekpoma, were among participants at a TETFund sponsored four-day National Training Workshop on Advanced Office Management and Administration organised by the National Productivity Centre (NPC), Abuja, and held at the University of Ibadan from May 19 to 22, 2026.
The workshop, which brought together administrators and management personnel from tertiary institutions and other organisations across the country, was designed to enhance participants' professional competencies and improve service delivery in modern office administration.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, the Ibadan Centre Coordinator of the National Productivity Centre, Mr. Negedu Patrick Siaka, urged participants to take full advantage of the training to acquire new knowledge and skills that would enhance their productivity and effectiveness in their respective workplaces.
According to him, the evolving nature of office administration requires continuous capacity building and adaptation to emerging management practices, adding that the workshop was carefully structured to address contemporary challenges in office management and administration.
During the training, participants were exposed to various aspects of advanced office management through presentations and interactive sessions facilitated by seasoned professionals and experts in the field. The sessions focused on improving administrative efficiency, leadership skills, communication strategies, records management, and workplace productivity.
At the end of the workshop, participants were presented with certificates in recognition of their successful completion of the programme.
Speaking on behalf of the Ambrose Alli University delegation, the Principal Assistant Registrar and Head of Information, Protocol and Public Relations, Otunba Mike Ade Aladenika, expressed appreciation to the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) for providing the opportunity for staff development.
He described the workshop as a refreshing and rewarding experience that would positively impact administrative practices within the university.
"The knowledge and skills acquired during this training will undoubtedly enhance our effectiveness and service delivery. We are grateful to TETFund for sponsoring this important capacity-building programme, which will contribute significantly to the growth and development of our institution," he said.
The workshop forms part of ongoing efforts by TETFund in conjunction with the National Productivity Centre to promote excellence, efficiency and professionalism in public and private sector organisations through continuous training and capacity development.
