Alumni Initiative Drives Digital Transformation as AAU, Ekpoma Signs Five-Year ICT Agreement with SchoolTry Ltd

Ambrose Alli University (AAU), Ekpoma, has taken another major step toward strengthening its digital infrastructure with the signing of a five-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with SchoolTry Ltd, a subsidiary of UTB Consults Group, for the provision of comprehensive ICT and data network services.
The agreement is expected to modernise the University's administrative and academic operations through the deployment of advanced technology solutions that will enhance efficiency, service delivery and institutional management.

Speaking during the signing ceremony, the University's management described the partnership as a strategic investment in digital transformation that will improve teaching, learning, data management and overall operational effectiveness.
Under the agreement, SchoolTry will deploy an integrated suite of digital services covering student information management, result processing, registry automation, staff appraisal and promotion management, transcript processing, SIWES administration, student clearance and graduation processing, curriculum and timetable management, lecturer assessment, scholarship management, revenue reporting and analytics, electronic memo services, support ticketing, e-voting, hostel administration, online admissions, course registration, fee management and other institutional operations.
The Memorandum of Understanding was signed on behalf of Ambrose Alli University by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Mrs. Eunice Omonzogie, and the Registrar, Mrs. Oluwayomi Agbebaku, in the presence of members of the University's management team, the Director of ICT and his team, as well as the Acting Director of Legal Services and other officials.
Representing SchoolTry Ltd, the company's Chief Innovation Officer, Mr. Muyideen Salama, endorsed the agreement on behalf of the technology firm.
Notably, the partnership was facilitated through the efforts of an alumna of the institution, Osaretin Osayuki Precious, a graduate of the Faculty of Law at Ambrose Alli University and currently the Head of Human Resources at SchoolTry. Her role in initiating the collaboration has been hailed as a demonstration of the growing impact alumni can make in supporting the development and transformation of their alma mater.

According to a statement issued by, the Principal Assistant Registrar / Head, Information, Protocol and Public Relations, Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, Otunba Mike Aladenika, copies of which were made available to newsmen in Benin city, "the agreement will run for an initial period of five years, with provisions for renewal upon expiration based on mutual consent.
University officials expressed confidence that the collaboration will strengthen the institution's ICT ecosystem, improve data security, streamline administrative processes and provide a more seamless digital experience for students, staff and other stakeholders.
