The Vice-Chancellor of Ambrose Alli University (AAU), Ekpoma, Prof. Mrs. Eunice Omonzejie, has congratulated the Edo State Commissioner for Oil and Gas, Engr. Prof. Ignatius Ikponmwosa Omorodion, FNSE, on his conferment with the prestigious Fellowship of the Council of the Society of Engineers.
The Vice-Chancellor described the honour as a significant recognition of Omorodion’s contributions to the engineering profession, academia and the development of society.
Principal Assistant Registrar and Head, Information, Protocol and Public Relations of the University, Otunba Mike Aladenika, stated this in a statement issued in Benin, copies of which were made available to newsmen.
According to the statement, Prof. Omonzejie, on behalf of the Governing Council, Management, Senate, staff and students of the University, said the conferment was a well-deserved recognition of Omorodion’s professional excellence and commitment to service.
She noted that as a distinguished lecturer of the University and a member of the Edo State Executive Council, the achievement was not only a personal milestone for the Commissioner but also a source of pride to the University community.
The Vice-Chancellor said the recognition further underscored Omorodion’s intellectual excellence, professional competence and contributions to the advancement of engineering and human development.
She expressed the University’s pride in the achievement and wished the Commissioner greater accomplishments in his continued service to humanity and Edo State.Prof. Omonzejie congratulated Engr. Prof. Omorodion on the honour and prayed for greater heights in his professional and public service career.
