By Esosa Omorogbe
The attention of the Management of Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, has been drawn to a purported “School Bulletin” circulating on social media and other platforms, directing students to pay the sum of Thirty-Five Thousand, One Hundred Naira (₦35,100) for an alleged KOFA Upgrade.
Management wishes to state categorically that the said bulletin is FAKE and did not emanate from the University.
In a statement issued by the Principal Assistant Registrar/Head, Information, Protocol and Public Relations, Otunba Mike Ade Aladenika, Management said it neither authorised nor issued any directive requesting students to make such payment.
Management further observed that the Zenith Bank account contained in the fake bulletin, bearing the name IRIABHOLO JULIET, is a personal account and has no connection whatsoever with the University.
The University Management therefore wishes to reiterate that it will never direct students to make official payments into private or personal bank accounts.
Students, members of the University community and the general public are consequently advised to disregard the fake bulletin and refrain from making any payment in respect of the purported KOFA upgrade.
Management also urges students to exercise caution and always verify any payment-related information through the University’s official communication channels before taking action.
The University will continue to take appropriate steps to protect its students and the general public from fraudulent activities carried out in its name.
